      "I am appalled at recent ignorant suggestions that Kevin Calvey did not earn his Bronze Star Medal in Iraq. Kevin worked for me in Iraq. We did not have a typical JAG mission. Five days a week, Kevin wore body armor, locked and loaded his weapon, left our base and went out to a hostile fire zone to perform his mission prosecuting terrorists in the Iraqi court system. He worked with Special Ops units, FBI and NCIS agents, and dozens of line units to ensure the success of this strategic mission. When one of his team members suffered a critical shrapnel wound from a mortar attack they took while out on a mission, Kevin helped evacuate the team. Kevin earned every bit of his Bronze Star Medal, and those who criticize Kevin even though they were not there are mere cowards.
